The register rules change on January 1, 2027. Karo already meets them.
A till built for the older rules has to be updated or replaced by New Year's. Karo was built for the new ones: every receipt signed by a certified control unit, the journal ready to hand over as XML, and your data kept in the EU.
December 31 is the last day on the old rules.
A register that follows only SKVFS 2014:9 may be used through December 31, 2026. On January 1, SKVFS 2021:17 takes over for every register, and one that can't be updated has to go. Old push-button tills are hit hardest.
Filed and done. Karo has followed SKVFS 2021:17 since its first day in production, with the manufacturer's declaration filed.

Rule questions.
Yes. The duty to use a certified register covers sales paid by card as well as in cash, with a few exceptions Skatteverket lists on its own pages.
We do it with you when you move to Karo. The register and its control unit are reported in your company's name, the way Skatteverket asks.
Karo is one system in the cloud, so an update for new rules reaches every register at once, with no visit and no new box.
